I've been working on a new character that will go along with a little short story I'm fleshing out with the images. There are three images starring her in my DA gallery; Here ya go, if ya want to take a peeksy:

The Jaezred Chaulssin, from what I've read at Wizards of the Coast, are a fiercely patriarchal society of drow claiming descendance from the ruling house of Chaulssin, city of the Wyrmshadows, which is now half existing in the Plane of Shadows due to a battle between the drow and their dragon overlords.
They are also a secret drow society of dragonblooded sorcerers and assassins, peppering other drow cities as minor houses, but remaining true to their one true house.... and I believe I'm going to go out and buy this War of the Spider Queen saga; this talented and deadly assassin, Nimor Imphraezl, known as the Anointed Blade of the Jaezred Chaulssin, sounds intriguing.

The only things I can add to what Queen just said is that they are also devoted Vhaeraunites and are the ones behind the great fall of Ched Nesad and the attack on Menzoberranzan in the War of the Spider Queen. Lord Dire the Lich drow was in league with them as well as the duergar king and the Scourge legions.
So, in essence, the Vhaeraunites caused the fall of Ched Nesad and the near fall of Menzoberranzen. People often don't give the Vhaeraunites credit enough for their power base. Very Happy

OMG Queenflamewing you have not read the WotsQ series yet?. It is one of the most fascinating and wonderful stories about drow I have ever read so far. Almost every book in the series hit the New York Times best seller list. And after reading all six books then you MUST read "The Lady Penitent, which is essentially book #1 in part 2 of the WotSQ if you have not already!

Oh I think you can also buy the WotSQ books in a bound special paperback set like you can the Drizzt novels. Very Happy

Well, I peeked at them, not really paying too much attention because I was focusing mostly on the gods..Vhaeraun mainly, when Silverspirit dragged me into helping her develop a drow storyline for another friend's gaming site; they wanted somewhat of a back history on the renders she did of Akordia to incorporate into a quest. She had shown me what she drafted so for and I spiced it up with a few twists, and with that collaboration, my inner drow woke up lol

::chuckles:: No wonder I havn't heard of 'im! Ive never bothered to read Wotsq series. (I did flip open a couple of the first ones and skim a chapter or two but it didn't hold my intrest. That and I'm not paying 12.99$ for a paperback. Downright bookstore robbery is what it is!) Actually I haven't even picked up the last Drizzt book. And Salvatore is one of the few decent writers tsr/hasboro/whoever has aquired for their books. (But his non-drizzt books? awful stuff. awful) Don't get me started on cunningham or weiss&hickman! Ugh.
