We should see the beginning of the section on drow lore and encyclopedia of drow facts by this weekend. This will be a comprehensive study on drow life and facts about known drow heros/anti heros as per the Forgotten Realms setting (original drow roots). This should serve as a good reference for our artists and writers
The thralls are being whipped as we speak and the gathering of information is moving along steadily.

Just outta curiosity, but what about the mythological stuff, which WotC got their ideas from? Y'know, like the stuff that shows up in Norse myth. True, they aren't Drow in the traditional sense, but I think it would be interesting.
Just an idea. If you want to though, I can do a little research on it, as I do a lot of it for my writing in the first place! _________________ "You can run, but you'll only die tired!"

Actually that might be nice. 'Specially since my dökkálfar are based on the norse. (you know the whole Troll-Trow-Drow thing?)
Or maybe a listing or two for "Unseelie" in general? ('Cause Horatio there are much worse things between Heaven and Hell then are drempt of in your worst nightmares. And they think you taste good roasted on a bed of Rosemary-Apples with a White Wine-cream Sauce.)
Thats my two bits. _________________ Johann Black,

Yes, that is actually what I was getting at. The whole root of it all, and the mythology. _________________ "You can run, but you'll only die tired!"

The library is up and running and Wikipedia talks about the origins of the word Drow. But we've decided that although its perfectly fine to discuss all forms of drow, we would base our library mainly on the common WotC FR setting. Its the most consistent and has the greatest base of materials all around as well being tyhe most popular setting.

When I first researched the Drow, this was one of the sites that I found outside of WoTC...The Underdark, if it can be of any use. _________________ "L'elamshin D'lil Ilythiiri Zhah Ulu Har'luth Jal !"

May I recommend using Mongoose Publishing's Quintessential drow as reference?
That book is VERY useful in referencing Drow lore. Also a Link to a Drow language dictionary would be useful to any new comers to the forum? _________________ Embrace the ebon night of the underdark.

I'll have to check the book out. I think I browsed it once long ago and found it was not an FR setting though it may contain allot of pertinent info. I can post a drow dictionary and have been meaning to ...I suppose I forgot that one
