Drow language translator

You can use the translator at House Maerdyn. That addy is

When our own translator is ready , it will built based on that one but will be much larger by thousands of words and cleaned up of errors.

And the Grey Company is the one members use most offen too, so we hope that ours will replace that. Plus we could add members names and characters too.

Update on translator :

Translator SHOULD be functional by tomarrow night. The server is installing perl so we can update the dictionary as we see fit.

Are we going to add member's names and member's characters into the database too? Or will that be too much?

We can do that but there may not be a need to. Very Happy

We can add any phrase or word. Names do not need to be added since the translator will spit a name back out as it was entered...unless the name is the same as a word that means something.

Could I link your drowish translator to my site? Drowinside has got only italian/drowish translator. I wish to create the english version when I'm able to create all site in english... but it's so hard to do... sigh

Yes the translator can be linked anywhere. In fact I encourage it so we can establish our expanded dictionary (which is built upon the present popular dictionary) as universally accepted as did the Grey Company who programmed the original translator.

Only thing is I am still waiting for my host to lnk up the perl code so I can run the last script that will bring it online. That should be sometime tomorrow.

I am wondering if we could set up numbers on the translator. Like type in "42" or "forty-two" and get its equivalent in Drow. With the temp translator I have to write out the whole number and I might get error that way.
